BBL (BroadBand Light)

BroadBand Light (BBL)™ is the world’s most powerful IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) device on the market. It sets a new standard in treating skin conditions. The light energy delivered by BBL will gently heat the upper layers of your skin. The heat absorbed by the targeted areas will stimulate your skin cells to regenerate. This corrective process will restore your skin to its natural beauty, making it clearer, smoother, vibrant and younger looking. BBL allows your clinician to treat age spots, small facial veins, and many other skin conditions.

BBL stimulates cells to regenerate, and typically with the first treatment you will start to see smoother, more even and vibrant skin. The photo-thermal energy will eliminate fine vessels that cause redness and reduce unwanted melanin that produces age and sun spots. Your skin will feel smoother, pores will be less noticeable, and uneven pigmentation will fade. BBL can be the foundation for and used in conjunction with all other BBL treatments. We use four different BBL treatments for various skin conditions - BBL Forever Clear (acne), BBL Forever Young, SkinTyte, and pigmentation/rosacea therapy.

Botox and Dermal Filler Injections

Botulinum toxin (Botox) injections block certain chemical signals from nerves, mostly signals that cause muscles to contract.  The most common use of these injections is to temporarily relax the facial muscles that underlie and cause wrinkles, such as:  (1) frown lines between the eyebrows; (2) crow's-feet, the lines that fan out from the corners of the eyes; and (3) forehead furrows.

Facial (dermal) fillers are substances that temporarily soften wrinkles when injected into your skin.  How long the effect lasts depends on factors such as the type of wrinkle and filler used.  (www.mayoclinic.org)

Halo

Over time, your skin can lose its youthful glow due to sun exposure and your body’s natural aging process. As a result, your body may develop sun spots, fine lines, and lose that natural healthy glow. Previous lasers couldn’t effectively remove this damage, because the treatment was either too shallow or too deep. Halo eliminates years of damage by precisely targeting the right depth. Halo restores the luminous glow you had when you were younger.

In the past, you had to choose between a procedure that offered really great results but required a lengthy recovery, or a procedure with a fast recovery but marginal results. Now with Halo you get the best of both worlds: great results with minimal downtime. Halo combines deep dermal rejuvenation with epidermal renewal for a combined synergistic effect you can’t get with any other treatment. Halo creates beautiful results without the downtime of more aggressive treatments.

Halo precisely targets years of damage to your skin, including discoloration, sun damage, visible signs of aging, uneven skin tone, enlarged pores, and poor texture.  (SCITON Professional Website)

HydraFacials

The multi-step HydraFacial treatment cleanses, evenly exfoliates and extracts to remove impurities and dead skin cells while at the same time replenishing vital nutrients including Antioxidants, Peptides and Hyaluronic Acid.

Thanks to the devices’ superior delivery system, these performing ingredients are able to more effectively help mitigate environmental damage, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and plump and firm skin for long-term results you can see and feel instantly. (www.hydrafacial.com)

Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is a medical procedure that uses a laser — an intense, pulsating beam of light — to remove unwanted hair.  During laser hair removal, a laser beam passes through the skin to an individual hair follicle.  The intense heat of the laser damages the hair follicle, which inhibits future hair growth.

Although laser hair removal effectively slows hair growth, it doesn't guarantee permanent hair removal.  It typically takes multiple laser hair removal treatments to provide an extended hair-free period.  Periodic maintenance treatments might be needed as well.  (www.mayoclinic.org)

Laser Peel

Nothing shows age like our skin. If your skin looks dull and tired, you may be considering (or already doing) treatments like a chemical peel or microdermabrasion. These are treatments that use chemicals or abrasive materials to remove the top layer of the skin, revealing new skin underneath.

But the NanoLaserPeel from Sciton can do much more. It uses light energy to instantly remove the top layers of the skin at a depth that also accelerates the skin's own renewal process by activating special messenger proteins. Microdermabrasion and chemical peels often don't get deep enough and other lasers leaves a layer of heat-damaged cells that interrupt the ability of these messenger cells to communicate with deep layers of skin. Only the NanoLaserPeel from Sciton has the precision to work at just the right depth, creating beautifully smooth, luminous skin. (SCITON Professional Website)

Mesotherapy (Kybella)

Mesotherapy employs painless micro-injections of medicine into the skin with a very fine needle via a specially designed applicator to achieve a desired aesthetic outcome.  At Elite Medical Spa, we use a particular medicine, Kybella, to eliminate or reduce a "double chin."

KYBELLA® is the only FDA-approved injectable treatment that destroys fat cells in the treatment area under the chin to improve your profile.

The active ingredient in KYBELLA® is synthetic deoxycholic acid. Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into the fat beneath the chin, KYBELLA® destroys fat cells, resulting in a noticeable reduction in fullness under the chin. Once destroyed, these cells can no longer store or accumulate fat, so further treatment is not expected once you reach your desired aesthetic goal. (www.mykybella.com)

Microneedling (SkinPen)

SkinPen is a medical grade, state-of-the-art microneedling device designed to improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and scars on the face and body.  It allows for controlled induction of the skin’s self-repair process by creating thousands of precise micro-injuries in the dermis, automatically triggering new collagen synthesis without causing scar tissue formation.  Microneedling has been safely used in a wide variety of patient-types including patients of all skin-types.

The variable depth of SkinPen and the cordless design provide significant versatility to create change in many areas of the body, including the face, neck, chest, arms, hands, legs, abdomen and back.  The actual procedure typically takes 30 minutes depending on the size and number of areas treated and the severity of damage on the skin and results in little to no downtime for the patient.  (www.bellusmedical.com)

Permanent Cosmetic Tattooing

... Permanent Cosmetics is the process of applying small deposits of pigment color under the the upper reticular layer of the dermis. It is used to give color and enhance lips, eyes, eyebrows ... Permanent cosmetic makeup is the art and science of implanting color into your skin. It is putting the right color in the right place so you can look better naturally. Specialized instruments allow your practitioner to place color into the layer of skin known as the dermis. Because the outermost layer of skin, the epidermis, is always shedding and renewing itself, you are looking at the color through a thin veil of skin. When your procedure is completed, the color will appear darker than the final result. This is because the color is in BOTH the epidermis and the dermis. The color in the top layer will flake off during the healing process. (American Academy of Micropigmentation at: www.micropigmentation.org)

Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy effectively treats varicose and spider veins.  It's often considered the treatment of choice for small varicose veins.  Sclerotherapy involves injecting a solution directly into the vein.  The sclerotherapy solution causes the vein to scar, forcing blood to reroute through healthier veins.  The collapsed vein is reabsorbed into local tissue and eventually fades.

After sclerotherapy, treated veins tend to fade within a few weeks, although occasionally it may take a month or more to see the full results.  In some instances, several sclerotherapy treatments may be needed.  (www.mayoclinic.org)
